Fair Food Network seeks to redesign the nation's food system so it is based on principles of diversity, equity, sustainability, ecology and resilience.

Grantee Profile

Fair Food Network (FFN) is a new not-for-profit organization that works in partnership with other groups to design a food system that upholds the fundamental right to healthy, fresh and sustainably-grown food, with a primary focus on historically-excluded communities. They will partner with individuals, community-based organizations, funders, government leaders and others to discuss, develop and implement a variety of strategies.

About Our Grants

The Foundation’s grant of $200,000, made in June of 2009, will in particular help FFN engage the Foundation Collaboration Table, a group of funders focusing on federal policy change; promote greater collaboration among community-based farming initiatives; and leverage broad social networks to increase demand for a more just and healthful food system.
